About Us
Peter McTeague was most recently Managing Director and Head of Global Macro Strategy/Americas at Nomura Securities, working closely with global business heads in assessing macro risks and opportunities, and also advising key clients across the franchise.
Prior to joining Nomura, Mr. McTeague was a Managing Director and Rates/Portfolio strategist for the Fortress Macro Fund at Fortress Investment Group LLC. He worked closely with the CIO of the Fund, with focus on strategy and portfolio thinking in developed market interest rates, and currencies. His "edge" was experience understanding the interplay between fundamental and technical factors that drive markets, with a strong intuition/instinct about how markets change. Mr. McTeague was also a member of the Management Committee of Fortress.
Prior to joining Fortress in October 2008, Mr. McTeague was Co-founder, macro strategist and a portfolio manager for the Prologue Fund, a fixed income relative value fund. From 1997 to 2005, he was head of Interest Rate Strategy at RBS Greenwich Capital and played a key role in shaping proprietary risk-taking and hedging for various interest rate groups at GCM.
During this period, Mr. McTeague was regularly named to the Institutional Investor magazine’s All America Research Team. Mr. McTeague has also worked at MCM, Thomson/IFR and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mr. McTeague holds a B.A. in Economics from Hobart College.
